The FIFA World Cup is the biggest sports events in the world that has approximately over 3 billion viewers. This particular event has been a marketing haven for many companies to introduce or promote their products. People from around the world gather to express their national pride and be supportive of their nations, however, the 2010 Fifa world cup holds a special sentiment within the African people because its the first time that the tournament has recognized the capability of African nation to host such a well-renowned tournament in the world. Coca-cola, McDonald's, Adidas, etc are some of the major players and sponsors of the event who proudly engage themselves in marketing process to expand and claim more market share by acknowledging the participation level of the people.
